Advice for anyone considering going to Bradford Park Avenue next Monday/Thursday.
DON'T.
The game has been switched to Scarborough.

Bradford's loss is Scarborough's gain.
All welcome, though the forecast looks far from scintillating, wind direction will be key but plenty of room up in the lounge, or the tea room.

Thanks Dave. Just mentioned it's actually at Scarborough to Mrs. karma and she's 'up' for a trip to one of our favourite places. Going to double and triple check the weather forecast and perhaps book an overnighter. ⛵️
Didn't get to today's third day in the Somerset game, visiting Newsome, Huddersfield. Walked (well struggled) up to Castle Hill. Fabulous view . Much easier walking back down. A long overdue pint of lager shandy helped

Might see you there, then. Depending strongly on forecast, could do Tues/Wed with one night stay at cheapest on booking.com or whatever.

The forecast is horrendous. Not wet, but 8C 'feels like 4'. There's no joy in that.

Well , sod's law with diaries Mrs. karma has an appointment first thing next Wednesday and on Thursday it's a day at the Harrogate Spring Flower Show on the Yorkshire Showground. We both love Scarborough and walking the coastal paths etc and I love live cricket So walking on Monday , staying over and if it's good weather on Tuesday I'll be travelling down to see the Yorkshire 2nds v Leicester at NMR. UPDATED Weather forecast is not as good. If it's not brilliant I'll be joining Mrs karma on the Cleveland Way which I'll still enjoy . Don't want to sit in cold blustery weather Realise I'll miss Monday's livestream from Lords but don't watch it that much anyway.

Looks a bit dryer tomorrow. I don't have a groundsman but my garden is once again totally waterlogged after light but persistent rain just about all day. I'm sure the NMR drainage is better than mine, it will need to be.
I'm heading inland to the Dales though the forecast there isn't great either.

It's warmer in Lanky. I've got Heaton Park on my doorstep, but I got so bored with that place during the pandemic...may revisit today and try out my new camera on the cherry blossom & stuff. At least the park benches won't be taped off to prevent you sitting on them.
Oh what a time they had, all the little bullies and tyrants and jobsworths, during those Covid summers. "For your own safety, sir...."

Drier here with the rain stopping about an hour ago after a very wet 24 hours. Wind set in now making it very chilly, if the ground does dry out it won't be much fun for the players or any hardy souls who go to watch.

Game finally underway. Yorkshire won the toss and put Leicestershire in to bat.
Dom Bess and Matthew Revis are playing, as are Dom Leech, Ben Cliff, Will Luxton and James Wharton, Joe Thompson is keeping wicket.
Whether that's any indication of the team for Friday I have no idea.

Leicester 2nds 73/1 in the 9.5 overs available. Cliff got a wicket second ball of the match.
Weather looks better, dryer anyway, for the final two days, still very cold though. I'm skipping off to Skipton and the Dales in search of at least double figure temperatures, I hope.

I see Vagadia, currently studying at Durham Univ, is playing. Shame about the weather. 5 younger lads in the side Kelly. Firbank, Hoyle, Singh and Thompson. Noah Kelly is from Driffield and makes runs. Don’t know anything about the others

We seem to have made good inroads this morning, with Cliff getting another, and Revis three. Leech is again going for runs, and he is the same age as Wharton and Duke, not a youngster like Firbank. Dominic did, of course, have a lengthy period out with injury, following his slip and slide in the abandoned Roses game two seasons ago. One feels he may be on borrowed time. The Club needs quickly to get a seam bowling pecking order amongst the second stringers. If Coad, Fisher, Milnes, Thompson, Hill and Revis lead the pack. who is next? Probably not Edwards, so Ben Cliff? It all looks very thin, when only four years back Willey would have been about 11th. I hope the latest left-armer Louie Owens comes through, but I am not holding my breath, much as I liked the first look at him. He's 17, and already with a history of back problems. Firbank I've just seen on the NV Play-Cricket highlights video. He also is 17. Notts are showing their game live (though it's lunch at the minute), for whom Tom Loten is currently 67 not out. www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4dai2VO_9E
