Given the number of members we have at the moment, if we all suggest a Christmas Cricket Song it will probably last 3 days max, and just for a bit of fun ( better than cricketers whose names include birds names) I'll start with : THE FIRST NO-BALL

CAN YOU HEAR WHAT I HEAR?
can you hear what I hear?
"Kholi, yer out!"
I know it's not a song title but couldn't resist

Good King Wenceslas was out on a TV replay,
All the fielders gave a shout, 'Howzat' from the boundary,
Outside off and struck in line, surely not a no ball,
Just a bit of doubt on height, go with on-field um-pire's call.

Given that I can't think of any at all...may I be judge, please?
To date: 'Once in Rahul Dravid's city' - 9/10 (just in case we get a better one), and 'Dexter, Hall with Bowes and Hollies' - a worthy 7/10.
The rest? Nah.

Oh I concur with your excellent choices and scores Dave. Personally, helped get my wide-awake mind to sleep, instead of counting sheep.
Well done Newby, 'you're a poet'

I reckon that's another 7/10. The Deep Midwinter brings back memories of being a naughty schoolboy, 65 years ago. There's a line: "If I were a wise man, I would do my part," and both I and my friend Tony Hitchcock sang - very loudly, and without pre-planning - the same 'alternative' version.
