Received an e-mail today about this - in Long Room, East Stand Headingley, 3:00 - 4:30. The great and good will be there incl, New Chair, President, CEO, Club Chaplain, staff, players (who are not playing oveseas) etc etc open to all as far as I'm concerned.
There'll also be the Bradford BD1 Brass Band to play Christmas music and accompany carols plus food and drink
The e-mail I received included an RSVP Button and details to e-mail re dietary requirements or accessibility parking. I had assumed there would be something on the OS (website to me) but nothing yet.
I attended this event last year with Mrs. karma, we enjoyed it tremendously - I actually felt obliged to attend as I'd been banging on for months about lack of actual diversity for this kind of celebration after all the previous events under our then chair. (Lord P)
Really though, be there or be square, so that we can all be Simply Having A Wonderful Christmas Time.

Attended today's YCCC Christmas event at Headingley with Mrs. karma and met a couple of other friends there. Enjoyed it very much, great motivational introduction from our new chair Harry Chathli and an even better one from our President, Jane Powell, including a question and answer session outlining how tough it was playing Internationals years ago (and paying for it yourself) compared to ladies teams now. She also explained the nature of the work she does with disabled cricket teams in this county and abroad. Darren Gough sent his apologies from Dubai not being able to make it to the celebrations
Yes it was a cold snowy day there was International Cricket on the box to keep some at home but there was hot coffee , pies and a hot band too. And Carols - it was good to exercise your lungs and and let rip. I also learned a little more from the Bishop of Kirkstall about apartheid , Bishop Desmond Tutu and Martin Luther King's " Stick with Love" ethos to overcome prejudice. Sounds dry but educational , entertaining and very uplifting.
Glad to see so many people already wintering well
Came out into the falling snow with very elevated spirits, must remember to post my letter to Santa asking for promotion please.
