There is a report that Geddes is moving across town to Middlesex for better first team opportunities.

Dont you mean Geddes has signed for Delhi Capitals..... Agree McKerr is not one for us for next season. I would like to think a good quality overseas player is a better option, preferably left armer. Yes, McKerr has been signed by Notts to replace Pennington and Tongue (who signed from Worcts but have been pretty much injured all this season) who were signed to replace the retiring Broad (who had joined from Leicestershire of course)..... Surely the decent thing to do would be to rename the club The NotifyouwereborninNottinhamshire County Cricket Club

and the one bloke they could claim as their own, surely everyones favourite Notts player (although I think some may recall an incident at Scarborough claiming a boundary catch with a foot on the rope or that a shot for 6 was in his eyes a 4 - its one or the other!) is Luke Fletcher - and he has just left them too!
Samit Patel has of course already moved on to pastures new and is now at Derbyshire

Oh Oh Fernando, please come and bowl, Slip a few across the bat and then bowl one of those That dips in at the batsman and strikes him on the toes! Big appeal and that is out as everybody knows.
(Drivel I know but it does hint at what we really need.)

On Notts, I am surprised they are keeping 'the Blaze' as the name of their Tier 1 ladies team. I thought the idea was to drop the made up names and link the men and women's teams more closely under the County banner.
Perhaps they didn't care to be linked too closely to Notts CCC.

Have Durham had an investor put up a wad of money? They have signed Rhodes, Gay and a Derbyshire bowler Conners. Are they no longer a members club?

I think they'll have had a boost in terms of the salary budget from Potts and Carse moving on to England contracts.

Perhaps they have decided to spend less on overseas players next year. Apart from long term overseas David Bedingham, they have had Scott Boland, Ashton Turner, Peter Siddle, Ben Dwarshuis, Neil Wagner and Chemar Holder this past season. All of whom, except for Ben Dwarshuis, have played in the CC.
All those plus Bas de Leede, who somehow isn't an overseas.
The have been a trifle unlucky in picking up overseas bowlers who haven't fared very well on the fitness front.
